Learner Spotlight- Blake Porcano
Second grade Learner, Blake Porcano, recently traveled to the United Kingdom this past February to watch his older brother’s graduation from King’s College in London. During his visit, Blake and his family were able to visit some iconic landmarks such as the Buckingham Palace, The Queen’s Gallery, as well as The Hampton Court with Henry VIII. They also did Shrek’s Adventures, The Dungeon, visited the London Aquarium, and were able to take a ride on the London Eye where they got to see Big Ben, Parliament, and the skyline of London.
During their trip, Blake and his family took the Eurostar train to Paris, France. While in Paris, they were able to see the Eiffel Tower and The Arc right from their hotel room as well as visit The Louvre Museum, where they were able to see the Mona Lisa up close and in person.
Some of Blake’s favorite parts of the trip were seeing The Hampton Court with Henry VIII, The Louvre Museum with the Mona Lisa, and watching his brother’s graduation. “It was truly the trip of a lifetime and he thoroughly enjoyed it,” Blake’s mom, Marie says. Great story Blake!
