Advocate for Public Cyber School

Your Story Matters

At the Central Pennsylvania Digital Learning Foundation, we know that cyber school changes lives. For some learners, it provides flexibility. For others, it provides safety, support, opportunity, or a path forward that brick-and-mortar education simply could not offer.

Right now, public cyber charter schools across Pennsylvania are facing increased scrutiny and ongoing conversations about funding and legislation. Too often, decisions are being made by individuals who have never experienced cyber education firsthand and may not fully understand how it supports real families.

That’s why we need our Learning Coaches, learners, alumni, and supporters to speak up.

Help Legislators Understand What’s at Stake

Cyber school is not “one-size-fits-all.” Every learner’s story is different.

Some families choose cyber school because:

  • Their child was struggling socially or emotionally in a traditional setting
  • Flexible scheduling allows learners to pursue athletics, arts, career opportunities, or medical treatment
  • Health concerns make in-person learning difficult
  • Learners thrive in a personalized environment
  • Families need educational consistency during life transitions
  • Students need a learning environment where they feel seen, supported, and empowered

Behind every enrollment is a real child. A real family. A real reason.

When legislators discuss public cyber charter schools, we want them to hear directly from the people who live this experience every day.

Share Your Cyber Success Story

We encourage our CPDLF families and supporters to share their experiences with Pennsylvania legislators.

Tell them:

  • Why your family chose cyber school
  • How CPDLF has impacted your learner
  • What opportunities cyber education has made possible
  • Why school choice matters to your family

Your story can help policymakers better understand the importance of public cyber education and the role it plays in supporting Pennsylvania learners.

School Choice Matters

Public cyber charter schools are public schools. They serve real Pennsylvania families with real educational needs.

At CPDLF, we believe every learner deserves access to an educational environment where they can connect, grow, and succeed. Advocacy helps ensure that families continue to have access to choices that work for them.

Together, we can help legislators better understand the value of cyber education—not through statistics alone, but through the voices and experiences of the families it serves.
